tiger birth exhibit

Who do you become when your multiple identities snap into place?

What is it like to birth your self – in all your contradictions, glories, failures and beauty?

Who/what/how would you be if you didn’t have to choose your identity from the ends of binaries?

You’re invited to explore these questions for yourself by visiting our interactive, multimedia, and multidimensional exhibit, on view at Engine in Biddeford thru Sept. 28th.

We joyfully invite you…

To swim in the waters of our first public exhibit! This is a multimedia and interactive exhibit focused on sharing our connections with Sea Free – a universe parallel to our own where humans evolved without binary identities.

If you’ve never engaged with Sea Free before, we encourage you to start by entering Sea Free space and reading Jorge’s letter.

Tiger Birth: Origins of Sea Free will immerse visitors in artefacts inspired by one of the creation stories of their universe: Tiger Birth. Artefacts are works of art created by people from our universe, inspired by their connection to Sea Free and the messages/lessons they receive through that connection.

We will be sharing a collection of books, images, and video created by Sea Free receivers exploring questions at the heart of the Tiger Birth origin story. We hope you’ll join us in wandering and wondering about their universe! ~ The Sea Free Science Team

Organized by Sea Free Science Team with support from Sea Free Creative Team:

N.M. Chin: lead artist and creative director

Karolyn Greenstreet: exhibits and outreach coordinator

Max Mogensen: web coordinator

Funding is provided in part through a grant award of American Rescue Plan funds through the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by SPACE gallery. Special thank you to Engine for venue support.
